Among the cultural aims that the Teatro Circo Apolo Association set out for itself are "working towards its own growth", as well as "promoting the Theatre as a driving force in the cultural life of El Algar", or "providing the town with cultural and artistic activities for all audiences".
Since our theatre began its journey in 2011, these aims — and others — have guided the work of our Association, but it was two years later that our own theatre company, the Compañía Teatro Apolo, was created as the theatre's resident company. It first drew its actors from the Teatro Apolo School — which began when the theatre started operating — as well as from members of the Association, all of them people interested in theatre, both from within and outside El Algar.
In January 2013, the creation of this company was proposed and approved by the Association's Board, and ratified at the General Assembly that March. From there, the company began its journey.
