Carnaval de la Vida

Synopsis

Festival Utópolis presents "Carnaval de la Vida", a musical theatre show for the whole family that celebrates the wonder of being alive. Italian-Dutch company Canti Vaganti tells the story of a couple ageing in reverse: as the show unfolds, two elderly people grow younger and younger until they become babies. With live music, physical theatre, humour and object theatre, the performers play with clothes like children raiding their parents' wardrobe to dress up, inviting the audience to take an active part. Because every stage of life can be a carnival, and simply having been born is worth celebrating.
